The second most popular backyard trampoline is the 10’ one, the small size means it will fit in most backyards. Also the average price isn't much higher in comparison to an 8ft trampoline.
10’ trampolines typically have the following characteristics (although some brands will vary):
38mm steel tubing – The tubing of a 10’ trampoline is typically the same width as an 8’ trampoline, however the thickness of the steel itself is generally bigger to support the fame of the trampoline.
7” – 9” springs – Because the trampoline is bigger it generally requires bigger and stronger springs in comparison to an 8’ trampoline.
64 - 70 springs – Simply put, because the trampoline is physically bigger it needs more springs to accommodate the size of the mat.
Maximum user weight – The maximum user weight of a 10’ trampoline is greater than a smaller 8’ or 6’ trampoline. From researching the internet I have found that the maximum weight limit of a 10’ trampoline is between 220 – 300 pounds
Trampoline weight – The weight of a 10’ trampoline is generally heavier compared to a 6’ or 8ft trampoline, this is mainly because more steel tubing, matting, and padding is required.
