Springfree Trampolines

The first Springfree trampoline was designed 15 years ago by an engineer and father of three in New Zealand. During the design process he focused on those things that made him, as a father, afraid for his children to jump on trampolines. With these concerns in mind, he set out to create the world's safest trampoline, free of springs and hard surfaces that commonly cause injuries to children.

Unlike traditional trampolines, Springfree uses flexible fiberglass rods to deliver the bounce, rather than springs. These rods are placed below the jumping mat, out of the way of the user. The trampoline frame is also positioned well below the trampoline mat, meaning that no hard surfaces are within reach of users. Springfree's safety enclosure is an innovation unto itself. Instead of hard steel posts, it is made of strong netting and sturdy, flexible posts. In the event of a fall, the netting guides the user back toward the center of the net, rather than onto springs or other hard surfaces.
