Square trampolines are commonly used in schools just like rectangle trampolines. The main difference with this type of trampoline compared to any other is the springs, the springs are setup in a criss-cross fashion and seem more stable then the common round trampoline, this makes the bounce feel smoother.

Also because the trampoline is square you will have a greater surface area compared to round trampolines, e.g. a 10 ft square trampoline will have a bigger sq ft area than a 10 ft round trampoline will.
