Why a trampoline tie down kit?

A trampoline tie down kit or trampoline anchor is primarily used to secure the trampoline to the ground to prevent the trampoline from blowing away. Although you might think a trampoline is heavy it can still be moved by strong winds.

In 2008 during a violent wind storm a trampoline blew across a neighbouring garden / yard smashing the fence to pieces, thankfully no one was injured. For this reason alone it is worth purchasing a tie down kit to ensure your trampoline remains grounded.

What does a tie down kit comprise of?

A tie down anchor kit typically has the following:

  • Metal Anchors – these are typically galvanised steel rods or cork screws that you twist into the ground. Remember the best surface for tie down anchors is grass or soil.
  • Anchor Straps – These straps connect the anchor to the trampoline
